Adult Birthday Party Games

Every year, a young child gets to celebrate their birthday with a large group of their friends, enjoying fun party games and sharing both gifts and memories.

But Why?

Kids these days get whatever they want, whenever they want. They see their friends on almost any given day, they get presents from their parents all the time, and they own more stuff than adults have owned their entire lives. They don’t need to celebrate their birthday – every day is their birthday. The only difference is that they have another age to tell random strangers.

No, birthday parties are meant to be celebrated by adults. Adults are the people that slave away every day at work, rarely spending a moment for themselves. Each year, they should take some time out and celebrate with their friends, playing adult birthday party games and treating themselves to one single day to forget about the fact that their bosses are going to yell at them the next day for a mistake they didn’t even make.

For those that have become grownups against their will, here is a list of adult birthday party games for you to enjoy with your friends, and hopefully - at least for a moment – forget about your troubles:

Drink and Money
  1. Scavenger Hunt – Of all the adult birthday party games, scavenger hunts are by far the most popular for large groups of people. Have someone fill out cards with hints, hide them anywhere you like (in the house or in the city), break off into teams start the search. Scavenger hunts give the game planner on opportunity to be as clever as they like, and it gives adults the opportunity to work together to solve complex clues and have fun doing it.
  2. Casino Party – Adults like to play games, adults like to gamble. Break out some card tables and dice, have some prizes (lame prizes are not acceptable – spend a little extra cash and get some good items) and start gambling away. At the end, see who did the best.
  3. Costume Parties – Costumer parties are not just for kids. Plan it far enough in advance and watch as your friends dress up in outfits that only they could have dreamed up. Also, if you and your friends want to get a little naughty, give it a theme that will give them the opportunity to show a little skin. Costumes are an automatic conversations starter, so there is no doubt that your friends will be actively chatting it up throughout the night.

Don’t let kids monopolize birthday party fun. Treat yourself, and give yourself a birthday you’ll remember.
