Ingredients

Tropical drinks are some of the most popular types of alcoholic beverages. Fruity and light, they are both refreshing after a long day and great at parties, and that is why many frozen tropical alcoholic drinks are known even by those that have never tasted their tropical deliciousness.

    Mai Tai

The Mai Tai is a well known tropical drink, most famous for the many different fruit flavors that go into making it.

To make Mai Tai, you will need 1 ounce of both light and dark rum, ¾ oz of triple sec, ½ oz of amaretto, 1 oz of both orange and pineapple juice, ¼ oz of lime juice and a little bit of club soda. Pour all of the ingredients into a shaker and shake rapidly. Pour over ice and you are done. Sometimes this drink is garnished with an orange or pineapple slice to make it look more tropical.

    Margarita

One of the most popular frozen tropical drinks, there are several different styles of Margaritas, ranging anywhere from strawberry to coconut, with varying degrees of tequila. However, to make the most basic type of margarita, all you need is 1 oz of tequila, 1 oz of triple sec, a little lime juice and a blender. Pour all of the ingredients in the blender with ice and blend until smooth.

    Tequila Sunrise

A Tequila sunrise is both delicious and simple. To make a tequila sunrise, simply mix one or two ounces of tequila with orange juice, usually at a 2 to 1 ratio (orange juice to tequila). Pour over a glass of ice.

For the correct way to make the drink you also put grenadine in the glass (by tipping the glass over and pouring it down the side) for two reasons: First, the pomegranate flavoring enhances the beverage, and also because if your pour it right the grenadine will start at the bottom of the glass and slowly rise to the top, making a unique dark orange to yellow tint that makes it look like a “sunrise.”
