Simple Party Foods

Not every party requires an extravagant dinner, complete with full catering, meals and servers. Some parties need just a few simple party foods for guests to chew on and it can still be just as big a success. And since no host or hostess wants to slave over the oven before a party starts, there are several simple recipes that are easy to create and can be enjoyed by everyone.

Easy Party Recipes

Hot Artichoke Dip

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup of grated parmesan
  • 1/3 cup of half and half
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 jar (6½ oz) of marinated artichoke hearts
  • 1 can (4 oz) green chili, diced.
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped pimento

Drain the artichoke hearts and chop them up. Separately, mix the parmesan, cream and mayonnaise together. After they have been mixed, add the chili and the artichoke hearts.

They are already ready to serve. However, you also have the option of warming it in the microwave, or putting it in a dish and into the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. If you decide to place it in the oven, add another layer of parmesan on top and bake until golden brown. Serve with chips.

Warm Olives

Woman Sipping Punch

Ingredients

  • Olives
  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil

It is not always necessary for all party foods to be cooked. For some, simply taking flavorful foods and putting them out for guests to eat is more than enough.

Warm olives is one of these examples. Simply go to your local grocery store and buy various herbed olives (or buy olives and add some olive oil, garlic, and any other spices you think enhances their flavor). Three different types are more than enough, but you should have more than one option so that when guests tire of one flavor they can chew on another. Heat the olives in the oven for about 15 to 25 minutes and place them on the table.
