Wine Barrel Tables

Though there are many different kinds of furniture designed specifically for bars, most of that furniture has a similar type of style in non-bar furniture. For example, there may be bar stools, but there are certainly stools that resemble bar stools available. Bar tables are simply round tables that do not take up a lot of room, and these also exist outside of bar furniture.

Wine barrel tables, however, are a very clear exception to this. Wine barrel tables are actually tables that have some type of wine storage in the center, traditionally a barrel or a wine rack.

These tables are very unusual and easily stand out compared to their standard bar table counterparts. Like bar tables, however, wine barrel tables are designed with the similar small round table for seating beverages. But the center of the table, rather than a long pole, is a barrel.

These barrels are used mostly for aesthetic appeal, but they are actually functional. In some very rare instances, the barrel will actually be used for brewing wine. But more commonly, the barrel is, itself, a storage container. It opens up and inside of it holds many different types of wines. Some barrels even hold glasses, so that the wine barrel table is a place for people to grab the wine they wish to drink whenever they want, or store wines in a convenient location.

Not only are these tables unique and functional, they save a great deal of space as well. By keeping your wine in the barrel of a wine barrel table, you are able to give it the cool dark place it needs without taking up any room in your house. If you do not have a large basement or you do not have room for a wine rack, wine barrel tables may be a good alternative.

These tables are not inexpensive, but they can still be a unique way to impress friends and relatives.
