Plastic Wine Glasses

Plastic wine glasses can be a great investment for any party, and there are a number of reasons for choosing plastic wine glasses over glass or crystal options. Here are just a few of them.

First up, plastic wine glasses are going to be far cheaper than glass or crystal alternatives. And that, in these credit crunch times, can often be the only reasoning necessary for investing in plastic wine glasses. But their cheapness brings us onto another advantage – the fact that you don’t have to worry about breaking them.

Plastic wine glasses are going to be an awful lot sturdier than their more delicate counterparts, so as such you don’t need to worry quite so much about breaking them. Even if you do they can easily and cheaply be replaced, something that can’t always be said for pricier wine glasses.

Dont Take The Risk

If you invest in glass or crystal wine glasses you’ve always got the fear of someone not handling them carefully enough, and we all know how easy it is to snap a wine glass stem if we get too heavy-handed or, heaven forbid, we drink too much of the wine contained within them. Not the case with plastic wine glasses – you can often be as rough as you like without fear of them shattering all over the floor.

Plastic wine glasses are ideal for more informal parties or gatherings, especially those where it’s likely to get raucous. Their cheapness and toughness means that they’ll be able to withstand even the most alcohol-fuelled of events, and no-one’s going to bat an eyelid at the fact that their plastic and not more expensive.

The only downside to having plastic wine glasses is that they’re not going to go down quite so well at more formal occasions where people will be expecting a higher glass of alcohol, food, guests and glassware. In these cases you’re likely to get looked down upon for having plastic wine glasses in your possession and it may be worth bringing out the cut-glass alternatives, but in all other scenarios plastic wine glasses will be more than adequate.

As you can see, there are a number of advantages to having plastic wine glasses in your possession. They’re cheap, sturdy, easy to find and will go down a treat at informal parties, and, of course, they have the ultimate advantage of being able to safely hold your precious wine.
