Pub Style Dining Tables
Maybe it was too much time at the pub for the top cats
in the fashion world, but they have brought pub furniture to the front
of the latest fashion frenzies. It seems o.k. to take a pub feel into
any room these days. This is evident in the trend towards pub dining
style tables.
Instead of regular dining room tables in the home, many
are being replaced with the taller pub style dining tables. These
tables are generally 36-42 inches tall, while regular dining tables
offer a surface that is a mere 30 inches high.
Instead of the regular dining room chair, stools or high
stool chairs are in to be used with pub style dining tables. It's
enough of a call to pub life that you may be waiting for your fish and
chips and next pint to arrive once you take a seat.
One of the nice parts to pub tables is if you aren't
sitting at the table, you can still feel as if you're involved in a
conversation with those who are. One of the drawbacks with traditional
dining room tables is that it always seemed there was a large space
between someone sitting and standing. The standing person may want to
crouch or sit down to be able to talk to others. With pub tables, they
are both near the same level, and the conversation runs more smoothly.
