Tequila Shot Glasses
You will know when the party is really getting going
when someone calls on you to pull out the tequila shot glasses. This is
the time for a slam fest… where shots will be poured, and
everyone will see if they can remember the process for taking a proper
tequila shot.
The shot glasses should all be the same, for continuity.
You can choose between regular rounded tequila shot glasses, square
tequila shot glasses, or any other shot glasses you like as long as you
can make sure they all are holding the same amount of alcohol, to make
it fair.
In order to do it right, you need to have cut up a lime
(or a number of limes) into a wedges (you should be able to make eight
out of every lime). You also need to offer a plate of salt, or a number
of salt shakers. Now load up those tequila shot glasses, and let the
fun begin.
Each person involved needs to lick the skin between
their fore finger and thumb and sprinkle salt on it. With the salted
hand, pick up a lime wedge.
When the word go is given, each person has to lick the
salt, shoot the tequila shot and then suck the lemon. Swirl it around
in your mouth, to combine for the right taste, and swallow.
If you have a tough time remembering the order just learn the phrase 'lick it' (salt), 'slam it' (shot) 'suck it' (lime).
