Wine Cooling System

Even the best wine will be less than perfect tasting if it isn’t at the right temperature. Think of a beautifully cooked filet mignon. It’s great when it’s hot off the grill, but something is lost if you try to eat cold. Wine is the same way.

For the best results, wine should be served at between 13ºC and 14ºC. That is the perfect temperature to keep all the ingredients and inside the bottle in harmony, and ready to pleasure your taste buds.

But there is more to wine temperature than the temperature that it’s best to serve at. It is also important to store wine at the right temperature. A fluctuation of just 2-3 degrees either way, on a regular basis can start to affect all the chemical compounds that are creating the taste in the bottle.

While some of those chemical processes are similar to the regular aging process of wine, it will not make your wine ‘age’ more quickly the way it was meant to. It will instead create an inferior flavor in the wine.

So what’s the solution? Some people think the only way to really keep their wine cool is to have wine cellar. If you are an avid wine collector and have the time and money for it, go for it.

But, for more of the hobby collector, you may want a smaller alternative. Luckily, there are small wine cooling systems that can fit any budget and collection size. Whether you have just a few bottles at a time or a few dozen, there are wine cooling systems that can suit your need. Some of them are even small enough they can cozy up on your kitchen counter and be right on hand when it’s time to serve.
