  • 1 Cup of Pineapple
  • 2 Cups of Orange Juice

Additional ingredients: ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, 2/3 cup water, 2/3 cup sugar, Ice cubes.

A fruity concoction that is sure to please, Berry Rum Punch is a popular recipe for those hosting a relaxing gathering and want a tasty beverage to compliment the desserts. This recipe serves 8, and though it is a little difficult it is well worth the effort.

The first step is to pour the water and sugar into a medium saucepan and boil, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved. Once they have combined to make a syrup, quickly take the saucepan off the heat and cool it quickly.

Next, take 2 of the three cups of raspberries and puree them. Once completely pureed, pour them through a fine strainer and set them over the saucepan. Use a spoon or your hand to push down on the solids to make sure you have extracted as much juice from the fruit as possible before discarding the remaining solids.

Finally, put all of the remaining ingredients including the raspberry syrup you have just made into a glass bowl. All of the orange juice, the raspberries and the other fruits – everything should be placed into the bowl. Chill for at least 4 hours (but no longer than a full day) and serve.

The Berry Rum Punch

What makes the berry rum punch a popular recipe is that despite the heavy amount of rum involved in its creation, the amount of fruit involved gives it a little bit of extra tang and makes it appear to be a “fresher” drink than many of the other popular punch varieties.

Though berries tend to be associated with warmer climates, this drink tends to be equally popular in winter as it is in summer, making it a versatile recipe for any celebration. Serve with dark chocolate and you and your guest are sure to be satisfied.
