A great tasting sweet option that the majority of people enjoy is the alcoholic chocolate truffle. Here you’ll find information on how to make your own alcohol filled chocolates with our highly recommended recipe.
Making the chocolates is simple, firstly make sure you have all the required ingredients before following the simple instructions. If you have any troubles, be sure to let us know. In this following recipe, we’ll be making truffles of the Champagne variety.
- Six Ounces of Semi Sweet Chocolate
- 1/4 Cup of Butter, Ideally cut into delicate small pieces.
- 1/4 Cup of Cocoa Powder
- Three Tablespoons of Champagne
- One Beaten Egg Yolk
- Three Tablespoons of Whipping Cream
Mix the butter, chocolate and three tables spoons of whipping cream into a saucepan. Cook and stir until mixture is melted. Stir the mixture gradually into the egg yolk solution over a medium heat for a couple of minutes.
After removing from the heat, add mixture into a mixing bowl. Then mix in the three tablespoons of champagne to the mixture before leaving to chill for an hour or 2. Stir occasionally.
Beat the cooled mixture with a mixer for a couple of minutes until mixture becomes fluffy. Chill for a further half hour until the mixture hardens. Use an ice-cream scoop to scoop out small balls from the truffle mixture, and place them on baking tray with waxed paper. Leave until completely firm.
